Our Internal Product Analytics team is crafting the next generation of reporting and analytic tools for all of Workday's products, enabling them to catalog, mine, and explore their critical business data. We have built our Analytics solution using the most modern technologies, providing an unparalleled level of agility, ease-of-use, and delivery of insights. Our team is growing, and we're looking for a Senior Tableau Developer to join us and support our continued success! We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated professional with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex Tableau dashboards to visualize various types of product, customers, sales, financials and employee metrics. You will provide a key function in shaping the success of Workday's current and future products.About the Role You will define and lead best practices on all things Tableau, including analyzing business needs, document and translate requirements into system user specifications, architecting, developing, testing and enabling visualization for our business users. You will also lead non-functional aspects, such as security, performance, scalability, usability using the industry standard design principles. You will also help upskill other developers in the Tableau environment. About You Below is an overview of responsibilities for this role:

  • Gather business requirements, document and translate them into System User Specifications.
  • Lead Tableau dashboard development .
  • Work with the dev team to up-skill their Tableau development knowledge.
  • Design and develop data-driven insights and recommendations effectively/succinctly to leaders and other users within the organization.
  • Define and Implement testing best practices and processes to ensure insights are relevant and meet business needs.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing with the end users.
  • Define and Implement Release process for Tableau dashboards.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, usability and other non functional aspects of Tableau dashboards.
  • Foster relationships and develop trust with key stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision making in assigned area.
  • Ensure that various dashboards are delivered in a coordinated and timely fashion
  • Provide end user documentation for enabling users to Tableau dashboards. Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field, Computer Science or equivalent. A Master's Degree is a plus.
    • 7+ years of rich experience in Tableau development - including user, content and data management within Tableau.
    • Strong experience with and understanding a modern data stack, including cloud based data warehousing (AWS), ETL Tools and Tableau.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad set of clients from across the business, spanning multiple levels.
    • Proficient in quickly understanding new technologies, with the ability to train others on the use of technology platforms.
    • Work well in a dynamic, complex, client- and team-focused environment within minimal oversight and an agile mindset.
    • Analytical ability to delve into details while maintaining a broader business perspective.
    • Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing multiple project priorities simultaneously.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills to convey complex topics concisely.
