About the TeamWorkday is hiring for a Director, Experience Production who will lead the future of how the keynotes for Workday flagship events optimize a blend of engagement, education, and entertainment for our digital and in-person global event audiences with the purpose of driving business value, bringing the brand to life, and affecting future growth.About the Role This role inspires and leads our team and 3rd-party production partners who ideate and execute the main stage brand moments of Workday's highest profile events. This platform must be viewed as innovative in its messaging and delivery. These include sessions primarily focused on thought leadership and Workday corporate messaging, executive presentations, and professional personality presentations. This role builds enthusiasm and negotiates success across teams including Corporate Communications, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, and Experience Marketing (Events). The Director blends their innovative broadcast and in-person event production experience, passion for storytelling via stage and screen, and creative experiential sensibility to conceptualize and drive impactful brand moments in ever-evolving ways. Key Responsibilities

  • Define the vision for our flagship keynotes which optimize a blend of engagement, education, and entertainment for our digital and in-person global event audiences.
  • Engage the right set of internal and external partners to ensure the experience visions successfully come to life in each program's strategic goals.
  • Ensure our main stage moments deliver a premium brand experience through location choice and set design, technical equipment and support, session format, slide and video use, presenter delivery, and accessibility opportunities.
  • Help achieve measurable success markers in areas such as segment duration, broadcast and in-room technical operation, content and speaker readiness, presenter diversity, messaging relevance, audience engagement, and audience scoring.
  • Ideate original programming and curated content for select Workday digital programs as a means to further engage our buyers, elevate their digital experience, and affect future growth for Workday.
  • Maintain oversight of all production budgets. Maximize budget allocation for the greatest brand impact, leverage opportunities across programs where appropriate, and advocate for additional funding when it will drive additional business value.
  • Lead the evolution of production tools and processes with the goal of increasing efficiency and collaboration among the team.
  • Present executable strategies for how relevant content and experiential trends might improve the impact of our main stage brand moments.
  • Partnering with content and production leads, foster a vision for Run of Show that delivers on the brand experience.
  • Manage a team of Workday technical producers and meet the business requirements for being an effective and inspiring Workday leader.
  • Set the appropriate tone for effective, supportive experiences for executive presenters. About YouBasic Qualifications
    • Proven 10 plus years of experience leading broadcast and in-person event production teams that deliver measurable results towards established goals.
    • An organized self-starter and an inspiring leader able to navigate through a complex organization with varying viewpoints in order to clearly articulate executable strategies to peers and business leaders.
    • An expert of process and program management who understands the macro and micro of a project, with the ability to seamlessly flex between big vision and tactical execution.
    • Proficient understanding of the requirements of digital broadcast production, and sufficient technical knowledge to foresee and address production and broadcast issues.
    • Proficient in Google Workspace; at a minimum, proficiency in Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Sites.
    • Proven presentation slide development and delivery skills.
    • Flexible schedule and travel required as needed for role-related projects. Other Qualifications
      • Adept at creative ideation, inspiring leadership, vendor management, budget management, bridge building, and decision making.
      • Adept at artfully coaching presentation and delivery enhancements for presenters as part of orchestrating the overall brand experience. (e.g., Workday and customer executives, and professional personalities.)
      • Background in experiential storytelling through digital broadcast and in-person productions. A demonstrated passion for brands, messaging, environmental design, and audience impact.
      • A best-practice champion and innovator, bringing forward-thinking video production, editing, animation and broadcast trends into our programs.
      • Professional network and vendor connections to help improve solutions and enhance our experiences. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
