Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Tax Manager to support a client in the Milwaukee area
for this coming tax season. This is a long-term contract position
that offers the opportunity to oversee a high volume of tax returns
and provide guidance to entry-level staff. The ideal candidate will
possess a strong background in corporate and individual tax
preparation, along with expertise in tax review and compliance.
Responsibilities: • Manage the review process for approximately
1,200 tax returns annually, ensuring accuracy and adherence to
relevant regulations. • Provide oversight and support during tax
season, addressing complex tax issues and offering solutions. •
Prepare tax returns from start to finish when necessary, focusing
on high-level or intricate cases. • Supervise the work of
entry-level staff, reviewing their tax return preparations and
providing constructive feedback. • Oversee the preparation of
entity returns, including corporate, partnership, and other
organizational tax filings. • Utilize tax software such as Drake
Tax Software and Ultratax CS to streamline tax processes. • Assist
with annual income tax provisions and ensure compliance with
accounting standards. • Offer expertise in entity formation and
bookkeeping to support broader organizational needs. • Ensure
individual tax returns are completed accurately and on time. •
Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and maintain
best practices in tax management. • Proven experience in tax
preparation and review, including corporate and individual tax
returns. • Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software and Ultratax CS.
• Strong knowledge of partnership and entity tax returns. •
Familiarity with annual income tax provisions and compliance
standards. • Ability to manage and mentor entry level staff
effectively. • Expertise in entity formation and bookkeeping. •
Attention to detail and the ability to handle high volumes of work
during peak tax season. • Excellent problem-solving and
communication skills.
