Support students' educational and behavioral development in a dynamic K-12 school environment across El Dorado County. This role involves working primarily with students who have moderate to severe needs, including those requiring 1:1 support and those benefiting from classroom assistance. Location: Placerville, CA (serving schools throughout El Dorado County, including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino) Duration: Current School Year (Contract) Key Responsibilities: Provide direct support to students with high behavioral needs in both one-on-one and classroom settings Assist teachers in managing classrooms with moderate to severe student needs, fostering a safe and productive learning environment Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed, including active use of CPI techniques Collaborate with educational staff to support individualized student goals and accommodate diverse learning styles Maintain professional communication and adherence to school policies and procedures Preferred Qualifications: Valid and active CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification CPR certification up to date and active Experience working with students who have moderate to severe behavioral needs Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to varying student needs Familiarity with 1:1 support and classroom aide responsibilities within a K-12 setting Benefits and Perks: Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students education and wellbeing across a broad geographic area Engage with a diverse student population requiring specialized support skills Flexible contract role for the current school year This position offers an excellent opportunity for paraprofessionals seeking to expand their experience in high-need educational settings.
