Associate Civil Engineer candidates with an interest in and
experience in land development design, or both, are encouraged to
apply to our Pleasanton or Roseville, CA locations using the Apply
link. B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET
accredited university is required. Registration as a Professional
Civil Engineer in California is mandatory.Must be authorized to
work in the United States.
Associate Civil Engineers work under the general direction of our
senior staff on a wide range of land development and public
infrastructure projects including residential, commercial and
mixed-use developments, and public infrastructure projects
(sanitary sewer, water supply, water resources and storm drainage).
Assignments may include supervision of junior staff, AutoCAD Civil
3D design and drafting, grading and earthwork design,
hydrology/hydraulics calculations, as well as coordination with
public agencies and other consultants.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 7 to 10 years of land development and public infrastructure
design experience in California.
- Prior work experience in land development, drainage and flood
control, or municipal sewer and water system design is mandatory.
Land development and public infrastructure design experience in
California is highly desirable.
- Expertise in storm drainage, flood control and water system
design and analysis.
- Prior project management experience would be a plus.
- Competence in Hydrology & Hydraulics is desired.
Software used in this role may include: AutoCAD Civil3D, MS Project
and Suite, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-Storm, and WaterCAD Version 8i.
