Job Description Vector Atomic is hiring Senior Hardware Test
Engineers to help build ultraprecise quantum devices for
applications including autonomous/GPS-free navigation,
high-bandwidth satellite communications, and geophysical
exploration. Our rapidly growing team of 35 brings an innovative
but practical approach to developing quantum devices. If you'd like
to work on transformational technologies in a dynamic,
team-oriented environment, come join our team In this hands-on
role, you will create and execute test plans for custom electronic
instruments. The position requires a solid understanding of
electronics and laboratory equipment; deep electronics design
expertise is not necessary. To succeed, you should be able to:
write custom test plans and procedures; analyze and process data;
document, organize, and maintain test results; and assist in
converting sensor specifications into test protocols to verify
compliance. Ideal candidates are comfortable working on every
aspect of the electronic test process. Initially, work will be
R&D-focused, verifying new PCBA designs. As we move toward
productization, the role will expand to automated testing and
building up test infrastructure. What Youll Do Work directly with
design engineers to interpret specifications and develop test
protocols to verify compliance Take the lead role in creating and
executing test plans Assist with hardware debugging and testing
configurations Design test fixtures, write scripts, and prepare
laboratory equipment for testing Perform testing for design
verification, environmental sensitivities, component lifetime, and
long-term performance Requirements BS in Engineering with 4 years
of related experience; Other technical degrees will be considered
with 6 years of related experience US citizenship or Permanent
Residency (Green Card) required by US export control laws
Experience working in an R&D environment; comfortable working
with early prototypes and devising measurements to capture key
performance specifications Hands-on experience with the following
Writing and performing test plans/procedures for electronic
instrumentation Reading and interpreting electronic schematics,
datasheets, and common electrical specifications Using standard
electronic laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters,
power supplies, spectrum analyzers and signal generators Creating
programs/scripts (e.g., LabView, Python) to control equipment for
automated testing Basic electronic rework and soldering on PCBA
components Writing clear/concise documentation and work
instructions Experience performing electronic testing using
environmental chambers, both in-house and with external vendors
