Shape your career and join our global network.Overview:We are seeking a highly successful, passionate and results oriented Business Development Sales Professional to drive additional market adoption of Blackhawk Digital Commerce in-store execution services to new clients as well as expand Blackhawk Digital Commerce presence in existing accounts. The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing new client relationships with retailers and consumer product companies and selling Blackhawk Digital Commerce to sales, marketing and merchandising decision makers. Our Sales teams collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to drive new development and close deals.
Location: USA - VirtualResponsibilities:

  • Actively engage merchandising, sales and marketing in-store execution decision makers at retail and other merchant prospects primarily in the gift card and consumer products, and other verticals to introduce Blackhawk Network products and solutions.
  • Lead prospecting and first contact sales efforts via a consultative selling process.
  • Expand market presence and revenue in assigned territory by adding new clients to the Blackhawk Network client list.
  • Maintain existing relationships with current clients in assigned territory and explore opportunities for Blackhawk Network to provide additional value.
  • Representing Blackhawk Network at regional or national industry events, i.e. Shop!, NRF, etc.
  • Act as trusted adviser and escalation point for customer issues raised, collaborate with internal teams to drive prompt issue resolution.
  • Analyze client performance and industry data to provide valuable insights to your customers
  • Manage the customer renewal process, provide renewal quoting, and revenue retention of assigned accountsQualifications:
    • BA/BS Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business or other relevant degree program and/or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum 8+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally selling to sales, marketing and merchandising teams at retailers and consumer product companies
    • Proven results in terms of closing first line business
    • Strong existing network in the retail merchandising vertical and experience selling to high level contacts
    • Experience selling a SaaS product. The Business Development Director must be comfortable fielding questions from a variety of stakeholders as our solutions include a mobility SaaS product to drive in-store results
    • Industry experience in retail, in-store execution, consumer product sales, marketing or operations is highly desired
    • Cross-functional team experience to drive sales process and results
    • Proven track record of exceeding quarterly and annual goals
    • Ability to travel 30%

      • Sustaining customer satisfaction throughout the sales life cycle
      • Proficiency in utilizing a CRM system (i.e. MS Dynamics, SalesForce) for pipeline management and forecasting
