BottleTaps is the premiere Tri-Valley restaurant and tap room/bar. Opened in December 2017. BottleTaps offers over 200 hand-selected craft beers, wine, mead, cider, Kombucha and craft sodas. We feature an exceptional menu of contemporary small plates, sandwiches and other dishes to complement our beer and wine list. We are looking for an experienced General Manager to supervise daily business operations. The General Manager should be experienced in a supervisory role, and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives. --We are looking for someone who shares our vision of what BottleTaps is and could be.To be a successful General Manager, you should eagerly participate in educational and training opportunities. The GM must be able to motivate and positively influence staff. A top candidate for this position must have strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. The GM should be firm, but also approachable.-- BottleTaps is closed on Mondays but open for Lunch, Dinner and weekend Brunch Tuesday --- Sunday.Essential Purpose & Duties------------------ To provide gracious hospitality and guidance through a memorable experience at BottleTaps for all guests of the taproom.------------------ Responsible for achieving budgeted revenue goals------------------ Responsible for labor, food, and beverage costs goals as stated in budget------------------ Responsible for weekly inventory------------------ Maintain and strive for continuous improvement in service standards and all operating procedures within the business.------------------ Responsible for scheduling of all staff including weekly payroll audit.------------------ Responsible for hiring, firing and training of all staff, work directly with ownership for HR issues.------------------ Addressing all issues in a timely fashion.------------------ Responsible for the success of each meal period, food and beverage quality and all staffing issues.------------------ Responsible for all guest needs and concerns while keeping the businesses goals and values priority.------------------ Needs to have ability to step into any position if needed------------------ Effectively utilize the tools and resources provided to guide the BottleTaps and staff on a path of consistent success.------------------ Perform daily cash reconciliations, tip processing, bank balancing.------------------ Positive ambassador of the taproom, to the community of Pleasanton, and the Tri-Valley area.------------------ Consistently improve and refine the skillset and knowledge of all resources, equipment, and product pertaining to the position.------------------ Responsible for working with ownership in the areas of special projects, marketing ideas, social media to increase revenue goals.------------------ Work with ownership in creating yearly budgets for the property------------------ Nurturing positive working relationships with staff, guests and ownership. Positive role model------------------ Communicate merchandise needs to ownership and responsible for inventory and cost of goods ------------------ Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed at all times------------------ Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work an average of 50+ hours/week.------------------ Setting a good example for staff------------------ Other tasks as needed--Job Knowledge & Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of restaurant management experience or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor---s degree preferred.
  • Proven leadership traits.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational & communication skills.
  • A passion for food, beer, wine, and the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to contribute to a wide variety of management tasks & operations beyond the taproom; including marketing, private party organization, community outreach, staff recognition programs and staff education programs a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel; proficient with standard POS and CRM systems (specifically Revel is a plus)
  • Ability to pair foods with appropriate fermented beverages a plusExtra consideration to those who possess:
    • Prior Gastro-Pub experience.
    • Experience with new restaurant openings.
    • Previous experience with small plates.
    • Strong beer & wine knowledge. --Cicerone or Sommelier preferred. --Cicerone training will be required and provided after hire.
    • Efficiency with Google programs (Gmail, Docs, Calendar, Drive, Sheets).Skills & Aptitudes
      • Detail orientated.
      • Personable with strong communication skills.
      • Well-groomed and professionally presentable.
      • Familiarity with most beer styles and ability to describe them.
      • An ability to deliver/receive constructive criticism.
      • Organized and efficient with all aspects of working operations.
      • High quality professional standards for service and execution of all work-related tasks.

      • Courteous and respectful to all guests and fellow staff members.
