In fact, we run our company with that principle in mind every day: One of our core values is fun.About the RoleThe Director of Business Planning & Operations in our Global Procurement Office (GPO) will be leading and growing a team responsible for project management, training & development, and customer service.

  • Project Management - You will lead the GPO special project initiatives to ensure alignment with the team's goals and objectives.
  • Training & Development - You will manage a program for training new hires to GPOs processes, tools, and procedures prior to their integration onto their respective team.
  • Customer Service -- You will identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement to support scaling with Workday growth, through engaging our partners.There is potential for expanding responsibilities into leading GPO Reporting & Analytics.Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • People Leader - Manage and develop team to ensure efficiency and collaboration while exemplifying Workday core values
    • Enhance the onboarding process for new hires to ensure all employees and contingent workers are able to quickly and efficiently obtain the key requirements for the role and team
    • Develop an onboarding protocol of tools and access needed for each role across GPO to improve the experience for the Workmate
    • Develop a centralized customer service center to obtain the "voice of the customer" and to track trends and provide recommendations for improvement
    • Conduct training of GPO, as needed, to improve internal customer experience
    • Simplify projects to remove any bureaucracy and lead in the "Workday way"
    • Develop strategies for PMO, Customer Service and Employee Training and execute accordingly
    • Partner closely with the GPO Leadership Team to obtain feedback and ensure alignment on initiatives
    • Manages and executes NPS Survey to obtain relevant feedback from our key partners and use for process improvement initiatives and prioritization
    • Potential expansion into providing direction and guidance for GPO related reporting and analyticsAbout YouThis person should have experience leading teams with multiple responsibilities, a deep sense of customer service, and be able to operate at all levels of the organization, while moving seamlessly from tactical to strategic. Additionally, this person must be an experienced leader with a keen eye for detail, be able to provide insights based on the voice of the customer and trends, investigate innovative solutions, collaborate cross-functionally, lead project management initiatives without bureaucracy, and improve the onboarding and training process.Basic Qualifications
      • 10+ years of experience spanning Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management, Training & Development, and Customer Service
      • Leadership experience
      • Bachelor's DegreeOther Qualifications
        • Global experience in Strategic Sourcing / Procurement / Supply Chain (preferred)
        • Demonstrated experience in customer service, project management and/or training roles
        • Leader with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
        • Possess a positive demeanor, excellent communication and analytical skills
        • Demonstration of critical thinking, ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement
