Service Champions Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for a Safety Manager who is ready to use their skills in making a difference in leading our Safety from the Heart Culture and getting our Team Members home safely to their families every night! The Safety Manager will travel to our Service Centers to support the safety team and share responsibility for the implementation of Service Champions safety policies and procedures company-wide, as well as teach safety classes through Champions University. This role will provide safety leadership to ensure compliance company-wide. Scope will cover safety standards, collaboration on development and implementation of safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure company safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.

  • Responsible for the documentation and application and compliance of the IIPP Program.
  • Create Risk Assessments, safe work practices and safe job procedures (Job Hazard Analysis) to improve work processes.
  • Ensure regular inspections are completed and corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Advise Team Members and Managers on the interpretation of policies, programs, procedures, and best practices and how to enforce and follow them.
  • Identify training needs and conduct proactive safety related training.
  • Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain training material, including relevant work processes, OSHA Compliance, and tailgate topics. Maintain and update Safety Training calendar.
  • Develop and propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to improve all aspects of safety.
  • Conduct safety and health walk-through inspection of all workplace facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Assist Leadership to conduct, review and submit in-depth accident/injury investigations which provide rigorous feedback to ensure root cause ID and corrective measures are implemented.
  • Assure proper reporting and record-keeping practices are consistently followed.Maintains timely and up to date documentation.
  • Stay up to date on relevant health and safety developments and be able to communicate them to the leadership team to be implemented.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor and/or leadership.Qualifications:Position Specific Competencies/Skills Required:
    • 7+ or more years' safety experience required.
    • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, DOT).
    • Risk assessment and project management experience.
    • Sound knowledge of safety and environmental principles and techniques, including legal compliance and regulations.
    • Capable of identifying known or potential exposures and recommending corrective actions in conjunction with Leadership support and guidance.
    • Demonstrate leadership and management capabilities in an environment of rapid change
    • Build trust and confidence with management, supervision, and team members.
    • Excellent business verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
    • Excellent listening skills.
    • May be required to climb stairs and ladders or crawl into crawl spaces, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience
