The Position

As part of the Project Management Chapter, the Global Project Manager (GPM) plays a key role in optimizing product delivery. The GPM is responsible for all project management aspects of various projects, from simple to complex, guiding projects from concept to completion through detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports. The GPM acts as a trusted advisor, translating projects into products and enabling effective use of organizational resources, adapting quickly to changing business needs across the portfolio.
The Opportunity
The GPM will own and implement project, program, and product structures for development and care activities, including communication management, timelines, resource and budget plans, and progress and cost control. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining integrated project plans, managing dependencies, resources, and budgets to ensure efficient team workflows. The role also involves quality implementation, risk management, critical path analysis, scenario planning, budgeting, and robust planning.
Additional duties include executing project management processes such as milestone and capacity reviews, leading improvement initiatives, and applying best practices in project and product teams. The GPM will select appropriate methodologies, including Agile practices, and coach teams accordingly.
The role involves managing meetings, knowledge sharing, establishing and reporting KPIs, OKRs, or OBPs, and serving as a single point of contact for project data. The GPM will advise on holistic planning, risk management, and scenario creation to optimize value delivery. The position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders including Sub-Chapter Leads, Network Leads, and functional partners. Coaching team members and providing feedback on performance and progress are also key responsibilities.
Who You Are (Required)


  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related business field.
  • You have 4+ years of project management experience in the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry, leading complex projects.
  • You have 1+ year of experience in clinical biomarker or IVD development, validations, regulatory submissions, or instrument development and program management.
  • You have 1+ year of experience in a regulated industry (e.g., FDA 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001).

    Preferred

    • You hold a Master's degree in science, engineering, or business.
    • You have experience with Planisware, MS-Office, G-Suite, and project management tools like Trello, LucidChart, Smartsheet, Jira, ADO.
    • You have experience with Agile practices and mindset.
    • You hold PMP and SAFe certifications.
    • You demonstrate problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
    • You have knowledge of Design Control, Phased Development, healthcare quality, risk, and regulatory compliance.

      This position is based in Pleasanton, CA. Relocation benefits are not offered. The salary range is $97,000 - $180,500, with potential bonuses, based on experience and other factors. Benefits are detailed at the provided link.
