  • Lead and execute complex regulatory interactions, including regulatory exams and other supervisory activities from the OCC and FRB
  • Understand LendingClub Bank's business, stay on top of evolving products, and maintain relationships with regulators, including proactive notification of risk profile and business changes
  • Work with the CRO to lead proactive Risk Management efforts to deliver timely and positive outcomes against regulatory expectations and commitments
  • Partner closely with subject matter experts of the various risk disciplines, business leaders, audit, and legal to prepare and coordinate regulatory reviews; ensure the organization proactively addresses regulatory requests and concerns
  • Develop and maintain trusted and transparent relationships with regulatory bodies and teams involved in LendingClub Bank's oversight
  • Coordinate all aspects and phases of regulatory interactions and examinations; ensure clarity and consistency in communications with regulators
  • Provided guidance and insightsto the management team and stakeholders involved in presentations to regulators, on regulatory interactions best practices
  • Support the development of appropriate and diligent responses and remediation plans when regulatory issues and concerns are identified
  • Manage the flow of information, records management and tracking of examinations, meetingmaterials and minutes, issues and responses to regulatory reports of examinations; develop procedures and processes to enable smooth examinations
  • Develop reporting on regulatory interaction for the governance committees including the Board
  • Help shape the bank's public policy strategy through participation in industry associations ; attend forums empowered with the Bank priorities and bring developments back to Bank leadership and the Board as appropriateAbout You
    • 12+ years of experience in financial services industry, primarily in compliance, risk management, and/or audit functions, with prior experience as a regulator a plus
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; or equivalent work experience
    • You have experience building trusted relationships with the OCC and FRB
    • You have broad understanding of one or more areas of risk management (compliance, credit risk, operational and technology risk, liquidity risk, information security)
    • Prior experience as a financial institutions' regulator (OCC or FRB ) would be a plus
    • You demonstrate outstanding communication skills, great attention to details, an ability to anticipate and deliver on the needs of a fast-paced and innovative bank, and the flexibility to handle an evolving business model
    • Professional certifications(s) such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), are a plus
    • Knowledge of the general principles of risk management disciplines (compliance, credit risk, liquidity, operational risk, information security, etc.), and the regulatory frameworks
    • Ability to influence, collaborate, network, negotiate, and solve problems with business partners, risk management, legal , and audit leaders, up to and including Executive Management and the Board ; willingness to "roll up sleeves" and manage multiple projects in parallel
    • Superb analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong organization and project management skills
    • Superior writing skills, able to effectively present verbally or in writing to regulators and Executive managementWork Location

      We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

      Compensation
      The target base salary range for this position is 240 ,000-270,000 .The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings),equity , and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offeredare determined by role, experience level and location.
