Job Description Overview: Our client, a Medical Center facility
under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of
largest health delivery systems in California, seeks accomplished
Practice Coordinator / Clinic Coordinator . Candidate must be
authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship Location:
Redwood City, CA 94065 Duration: 26 weeks contract w/ possibility
of extension Notes: Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. 100%
Onsite role. Description: Provide front desk and back-office
support in a high-volume specialty outpatient clinic environment.
Support clinic operations including scheduling, referrals, and
general patient coordination. Assist with prior authorizations and
insurance-related tasks as needed (training provided). Coordinate
with providers, patients, and insurance companies to support smooth
clinic workflows. Perform insurance verification and follow up as
required. Support surgery and procedure scheduling. Utilize
Epic/APeX for scheduling, referrals, and clinic workflows. Maintain
accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinic policies.
Estimated clinic or call volume of 30–50 per day. Qualifications:
College degree with 6 months of healthcare experience or 2 years of
healthcare administrative experience. Healthcare experience in a
clinic, hospital, or medical office setting. Some exposure to prior
authorizations or insurance processes preferred, but not required.
Willingness and ability to learn prior authorization workflows.
Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient or specialty clinic
environment. Front and/or back-office clinic experience.
Familiarity with Epic or APeX preferred. Strong communication,
organization, and multitasking skills. Positive attitude, strong
work ethic, and motivation to learn. Proficiency with Microsoft
Office Suite. Nice to Haves: Prior authorization experience.
Specialty clinic experience (orthopedics, oncology, imaging, ENT,
or surgical specialties). Experience supporting multiple clinic
