Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a prominent provider of facility-based and home-based patient care, we aim not only to address the physical challenges but also to inspire and promote overall well-being across our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health, and hospice agencies. This role involves assessing patient needs, planning and implementing specific interventions, and evaluating patient progress to optimize functional abilities and enhance life quality. Evaluate patients' functional status and occupational therapy needs to develop an appropriate therapy plan. Implement individualized therapy interventions to enhance patients’ abilities to perform daily activities. Record and document patient care services and health progress. Educate patients and their families on activities and interventions to promote health and independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using occupational therapy tools and techniques. Ability to assess patient needs and craft individualized recovery plans. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Capability to handle physical demands of the occupation, including the ability to assist and move patients. NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
