Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team, providing crucial support services in a school setting dedicated to special needs students. This role involves assisting an Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing therapy programs that support educational outcomes aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The ideal candidate is a passionate and empathetic professional with a strong commitment to enhancing students' educational achievements and well-being through specialized therapeutic interventions. Assist the occupational therapist in evaluating students' needs and implementing occupational therapy interventions in accordance with their IEPs Develop and document effective occupational therapy plans and progress reports Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies with educational goals Organize and maintain therapy equipment and materials Facilitate activities that promote sensorimotor, educational, and psychosocial development Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as professional ethical standards Proficiency in implementing occupational therapy aids and tools Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team Knowledge of special education laws and best practices Effective documentation and reporting skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) by the NBCOT State licensure as required
