Troubleshoots and debugs software defects. Reviews, interprets, and executes software requirements and specifications.Essential Job Functions: Performs high-level design and development of assigned server-side projectsCreates high-level and/or detailed analysis on the design of various components to be used in the Company's Gaming and System productsTests, integrates, writes, troubleshoots, and debugs software applicationsPlans, codes, tests, demonstrates, and trains fellow engineers on software engineering practices followed by Company standards and practicesMaintains liaison with engineers, and other groups such as marketing and sales regarding relevant issuesDocuments all tasks performed, solutions to issues, and implementation processResearches new technologies and incorporates them into new gaming/systems productsQualificationsTraining and/or Experience: 2 or more years of experience in software system development and on personal computer softwareMinimum of 1 years' experience with software methodologies Experience with either software engineering/computer/cloud-based technologies/containers experience with software exposureGaming industry experience is preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Expertise in Java, Scala, Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, AWS, Jasper, Ansible, SQL, Postres, Mongo, Full Stack developmentStrong attention to detailAbility to share expertise and train subordinatesAbility to multi-task and work independentlyGood working knowledge and understanding of software modeling in real-time response environmentsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsDevelopment, improvement, and analysis of serial communications protocolsExperience with various operating systemsKnowledge of software development life cycleEducation:Bachelor's degree required, preferably BSEE, BSCE, BSEET, or BSCS or equivalent work experienceMS preferred#LI-NH3Scientific Games Corporation and its affiliates (collectively, "SG") are engaged in highly regulated gaming and lottery businesses.
