Join the fast-growing Digital PCR center of Bio-Rad based in
Pleasanton, CA. We are looking for a Software (Firmware) Engineer
II to join our team and help in building exceptional Life Science
products.Part of the Digital Biology Group's R&D Division, the
DBG Software team creates the tools our customers need to build the
future of healthcare. We partner cross-functionally to deliver all
aspects of Bio-Rad's modern software and analytics, with projects
that range from instrument firmware and control software to
bioinformatics and cloud/web-based customer interfaces. A

healthcare for people everywhere.You will be a Software (Firmware)
Engineer with a proven track record in design, coding, deployment,
testing and debugging embedded systems firmware for scientific
laboratory instruments, including device drivers and interfaces to
application layer. The ability to work with cross-functional teams
and willingness to jump in and do what it takes to deliver on
commitments will make you a successful part of the team.How You'll
make an Impact:Design and develop multitasking real-time embedded
applications in C++.Develop using Test Driven Design.Design Python
code to verify embedded software.Work closely with the Software, EE
and Systems.Collaborate on embedded designs in a small team
environment.Sustain products over their lifetimes.Debug and
troubleshoot issues effectively.Present data and designs to
colleagues.Meet agreed-to schedules and deliverables.Work in a
fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, product-focused environment.Develop
firmware for systems using ARM Cortex.What you Bring:BS in
Electrical or Computer Engineering (MS a plus).5+ years' experience
designing embedded systems firmware in a production environment
(shipped products a plus).Proficient designing object-oriented
software in C++.Ability to bring up a new board.Experience with at
least one real-time operating system.Experience with and an
understanding of real-time issues.Willingness to learn and code in
Python.Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, current
probes etc.Algorithm development in real-time control, data
acquisition, and motion control.Experience working in a team-based,
full lifecycle software development environment.Experience with
agile software development methodologies, especially
Scrum.Location: Pleasanton, CAHybrid Opportunity: (3 days onsite /

position is $111,900 to $153,900 at the time of posting. Actual
compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if
applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and
accurately impact compensation, including geographic location,
experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted
factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus,
which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives
