Location: REMOTE / Pleasanton, CaliforniaThis job allows you to work remotely.Our client's mission is to optimize video marketing, using artificial intelligence and our unique dataset of what video content works best. The company was founded in 2017 with the purchase of the foundation patents for adding video content to email. They started by building their Video Email product that allows any marketer to add any video to their email campaigns.About the position:We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Software Developer. You will play a crucial role in designing, coding, fixing, and optimizing the complete Stack: Its user console, the internal API and offline video encoding processes. Your primary focus will be developing an in-browser video editor with support for user interaction and extending the existing suite of third-party integrations. You will lead the development process of the company and help expand the team, as well as participate in the final product development.Our stack consists of Javascript for the front-end, Python for the API and the the offline video encoding processes, and Google Cloud and AWS for the infrastructure.Responsibilities:--- Collaborate with our corporate partners to understand campaign requirements and objectives.--- Develop, from scratch, an extensible in-browser video editor with support for user interactions.--- Develop, maintain, and fix third-party integrations.--- Maintain the existing code base and fix errors.--- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve rendering issues.--- System design/architecture Must Have Skills:--- Experience with cloud infrastructures, especially Google Cloud and AWS.--- Experience in designing and developing both web apps and APIs.--- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.--- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.--- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.--- Strong knowledge of video encoding is a plus--- Experience with CI/CD environments--- Ability to work independently Nice to Have Skills:--- Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices and standards is a plus--- Knowlege of data privacy
