program at Workday is a 16-week paid returnship for experienced
professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for
caregiving. The program is open to women and men who have at least
5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid
workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or

the Internal Audit team. We are seeking an experienced Auditor to
help test SOX controls and execute operational audits.Areas of
focus will include SOX, financial, and operational audits across
the company. The allocation between SOX testing and operational
audit work is approximately 80% and 20%, respectively.
This position affords a unique opportunity to leverage the
innovative products at the core of Workday’s business. The Auditor
will be responsible for utilizing the Workday platform while
performing SOX audits, as well as contributing to financial and
operational audits across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review SOX testing documentation submitted, test controls,
document testing in accordance with outlined standards and meet
Help proactively identify and monitor process and system
changes, and other areas of change that have a direct impact on the
Company's financial statements and related disclosures.
Identify and analyze risks, plan and prioritize audit work,
conduct interviews, observe operations, document and analyze
procedures and controls, perform audit tests, prepare appropriate
workpapers, develop audit recommendations, review identified issues
with appropriate management, and prepare audit reports.
Ensure overall quality and consistency of audit work, and
adherence to department and professional standards for audits.
Continuously seek opportunities for audit process improvement.
Identify and promote audit best practices associated with the
use of Workday core platforms, applications, and capabilities.
Aptitude to learn and utilize data analytics and tools in
execution of audit work.
Continue to develop and expand knowledge of the audit
profession, our industry, and Workday products through self-study,
research, and continuing education efforts.
Requirements and Qualifications:
One to three years of experience functioning in a SOX,
operational, technology, and/or financial audit capacity.
Bachelors or equivalent in accounting, finance, or accounting
information systems. Relevant certifications in accounting and/or
auditing are preferred.
Experience with all aspects of planning and executing an audit,
including integrated audits that address a combination of
financial, operational, and technology objectives.
Familiarity with key business processes (i.e., order to cash,
procure to pay, financial close, hire to pay, equity) and related
IT general controls.
Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage and coordinate
multiple project assignments simultaneously, accept ownership and
accountability for projects, and deliver on commitments.
Strong communication skills (written and spoken) including
experience preparing workpapers and presenting to stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, building
relationships and earning trust.
Demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge related to the IIA
Professional Practices and Standards.
Experience or demonstrated aptitude in analyzing and leveraging
data in productive and creative ways.
Experience with technology focused clients or companies that
drive innovation in the marketplace. Experience with the Workday
platform and/or cloud solutions is a plus.
