Bosch Rexroth is seeking an innovative and experienced Technical Sales professional to consult with Fortune 150 customers to provide solutions in the Industry 4.0 space and promote the sale of Assembly Technology products: TS Series conveyors, VarioFlow plus conveyors, Active Mover Transfer Systems, Aluminum Structural Framing, Manual Production Systems and Tightening Tools within the assigned West Coast territory. As part of the Factory Automation sales team, you will also promote and sell other complementary Bosch Rexroth Factory Automation technologies such as Linear Modules & Systems, as well as Motion Control products.

You will identify, plan, develop and close new customer sales opportunities at target OEMs and End-Users in a variety of industries in order to meet and exceed annual sales targets. You will also collaborate with Distributor Partners within the assigned territory. You will evaluate customer requirements, budgets, applications, and drive the specification process to promote the Bosch Rexroth value proposition including systems solutions. You will also collaborate closely with Bosch Rexroth Application Engineers, Design Engineers and Inside Sales while promoting a technical sales approach and optimal Systems solutions. You will also work with our modeling software to conceptualize conveyor systems, work stations and other production system modules.

You will communicate with Bosch Rexroth sales management, product management and customer support teams in the areas of customer needs, sales policies, pricing, market growth and trends, competitive information, and sales initiatives. You will provide product expertise, feature/advantage/benefit information, competitor cross-over data and application solutions to all accounts. Provide regular reporting activities through the use of CRM for account activity, opportunity tracking, quotations, account development, and sales funnel forecasting. Provide reports, as required, in a timely fashion (i.e., expense reports, business plans, etc.). Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, trade shows, etc., as required. Participate in special assignments, as required by the organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
  • 5 years of technical sales and/or automation application engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with selling and/or designing Material Handling Systems
  • Experience with automotive, EV, and automation integrator customers
