What You Will Do:

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Drawing on an academic background in Software Engineering and Electronic Engineering, this position will work with the development staff to implement and monitor cloud infrastructure services.
  • Develop and deliver configuration and deployment automation required for improving the performance, availability, and manageability of our cloud services.
  • Troubleshoot while defining and evangelizing cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve reliability and performance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation that will include development of working staff.

What You Bring to ServiceMax:

  • Bachelors degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or a related field and 7 years of related experience.
  • The position also requires 7 years of experience building systems based on cloud technology in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments; 5 years of experience working with High Availability and Fault Tolerant architectures; 3 years of experience developing infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or Cloudformation; 1 year of experience managing Production container clusters using Kubernetes or AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS); 1 year of experience in one of the following log management tools - SumoLogic, Splunk, or Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) stack; 1 year of experience using the Qualys cloud security scanning tool; 3 years of experience working in Unix/Linux operating systems and shell & Python scripting; 3 years of experience with transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) protocols; 1 year of experience working with one of the following production monitoring tools - NewRelic, AppDynamic, Nagios, or DataDog; and 3 years of experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • The position requires AWS Solution Architecture Associate certification to be obtained within 2 years of hire (pre- or post-hire).
