Position Summary

This Sr. Payroll Specialistposition will be responsible for processing the Company'ssemi-monthly payroll. You will be responsible for reviewing employee information received from HR and employees, and for updating the ADP Work Force Now payroll system. We are looking for an individual who possesses a solid payroll work experience and knowledge with strong work ethics, smart, fast and hardworking who will thrive and be successful in a very challenging, fast pace and rapidly changing environment. This candidate will take ownership of the US domestic full-cycle payroll processing. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Global Payroll.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll for 675 US employees ; 625 exempt employees and 50 non-exempt employees
  • Run payroll reports (weekly, pay period, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Process additional payroll to record equity transactions and other special payroll transactions
  • Back up for the Assistant Payroll Manager who is responsible for International payroll processing when on vacation/on leave
  • Support and assist the Senior Manager, Global Payroll with special projects

AdditionalDuties and responsibilities

  • Process and review new hires, LOAs, terminations, payroll file maintenance changes and deductions
  • Process pay data batches in ADP (commissions, bonus, pro-rate new hire pays, spot bonus, time batches for hourly and salaried employees, medical waiver, special pays, severance, FSA employer contributions, other)
  • Process child support, wage assignments, and garnishments
  • Thoroughly audit payroll register and other ADP reports and identify corrections prior to submitting the payroll for processing
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation to support payroll activities in an audit-ready manner
  • Prepare and provide semi-monthly and monthly payroll related reports to HR Business Partners/Generalists, FP&A, GL and other Accounting and Finance Departments
  • Generate payroll reports using ADP Reporting based on requests and needs
  • Process off-cycle payroll manual checks
  • Work close with hourly employees and their managers in ensuring timely completion and approval of on-line timecards every payroll
  • Coordinate and plan year-end W-2 processing
  • Support KPMG audit, workers compensation, 401(k) and FSA audits
  • Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues and benefits deductions
  • Interface with outside payroll service (ADP), government tax agencies, and other vendors in seeking resolutions to problems and issues
  • Ensure Sox compliance regarding payroll processes


Location

Education

  • BS in Business or Accounting highly preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of solid payroll processing experience, preferably with ADP Workforce Now Payroll and ADP Reporting
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong knowledge of the Federal, State and local tax laws and legislations related to payroll
