Our responsibilities include event strategy and experience design, event performance management, event marketing communications, audience acquisition and demand generation, global field enablement and engagement, and integrated campaign alignment.About the RoleWe're hiring an Event Strategy Lead to support Workday's global corporate event portfolio. We are a data-driven organization and apply insights gleaned from our data to continually optimize our event programs. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Event Strategy leader to support our growth and act as a key partner in driving optimal marketing and business outcomes. The highly collaborative and data-minded candidate will have a unique balance of event strategy, performance management, and sales enablement experience.As the Principal, Event Strategy, you'll have a deep understanding of our global marketing strategy and goals, and our key global and regional campaign initiatives. This role will work closely with the Experience Marketing leadership, team members in Marketing as well as with the Revenue Operations and Marketing Business Insights advisors, and will be a trusted partner in driving event marketing excellence.Your primary responsibility will be to translate our event performance metrics into practical insights and recommendations, uncovering patterns in the attendee journey and unlocking opportunities for ongoing improvements. We're looking for someone who is energized by collaborating with others and is a strategic problem solver who thrives on interpreting meaningful metrics to help the organization optimize our event strategies and activities and make data-driven decisions.

  • Drive global event performance, measurement, and reporting, including post-event surveys, measurement recaps, and KPI's
  • Digest data and translate insights into understandable stories and trends, and offer relevant and concrete insights for a business audience
  • Represent and integrate Experience Marketing programs into marketing campaigns
  • Facilitate Experience Design process to build strategic event blueprints for global event programs
  • Leverage and align marketing campaigns, messaging, and positioning to our event strategic blueprints to ensure event programs are crafted to meet broader business objectives, while maintaining an audience-first perspective for event attendee journeys (pre-event to post-event)
  • Partner with other shared services teams, including marcom, brand and creative, event technology and digital, customer marketing, corporate communications, and integrated marketing to ensure smooth collaboration, alignment and agilityAbout YouBasic Qualifications
    • 12+ years of experience in event strategy including event performance management, marketing communications, sales enablement and engagement, and partner strategy
    • Passionate about results, supporting analytics needs, measuring event and campaign performance, and marketing return on investment
    • Experience working directly with event business owners and broader set of key team members to define and implement the overall key performance indicators for each event to ensure success against objectives
    • Benchmark industry standard methodologies to measure and improve our organization's performance
    • Experienced in communicating insights and facilitating performance reviews with senior leadership audience
    • Masterful at cultivating relationships with internal and external partners and cross-functional teams to lead change/marketing transformation ----Other Qualifications
      • Experience working with event programs that support sales and drive pipeline
      • Experience driving event audience development and acquisition
      • Knowledge of lead flow optimization and tying insights back to demand funnel outcomes
      • Proactive about seeing opportunities across the customer journey and partnering with team members to influence action
      • Knowledge of SFDC reporting, Tableau, Marketo, event technologies such as Rainfocus and Vivastream
