This position is eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the
first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time
Off benefits program after 90 days of employment.
The starting salary for this position starts at $21.56/hour. -
Position Summary:
The Cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of meals
for the residents, for cooking a variety of foods that ensure the
highest quality and resident satisfaction, maintains cleanliness of
food services area. Supervises the kitchen staff in the absence of
Manager or Lead Cook.
The Parkview is a thriving senior living community consisting of 86
assisted living units and 19 private memory care units. The
Parkview is a close-knit community that helps seniors enrich their
lives and helps foster a sense of comfort, security and
self-confidence. - Eskaton's dietary department offers desirable
shifts on a regular weekly schedule, and our teams work together to
prepare and serve gourmet meals for our residents in a
collaborative, welcoming and positive environment. Our dietary
staff also get to enjoy their evenings as shifts are finished by
8:00 PM.

Qualifications
Education:
High school graduate or GED.
Training and Experience:
Must have one to - two years recent experience as a cook. - Serve
Safe Certification.
Job Knowledge:
Must have knowledge of safe food handling and preparation. Must
have knowledge of good practices to avoid waste and misuse. - Must
have the ability to present foods in an attractive and palatable
manner and to test quality of food by taste and smell. - Must have
a broad knowledge of breakfast, lunch and dinner entr--e
preparation. Must have a broad knowledge of scratch soups,
sauces/gravies, starches and vegetables.
The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer,
pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check,
drug test, COVID test, TB screen test and health screen.
