As a member of the Competitive and Market Intelligence Team, you will have the opportunity to wear lots of hats and be challenged daily. On a typical day, you will support strategic internal teams by providing actionable intelligence on competitive offerings including core Financials, Spend Management, and Professional Services Automation.

Along with working closely with our Corporate Strategy counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Product Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Presales teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.About the Role As a Principal - Financials Competitive -Analyst, you will research and identify the differentiation of Workday's offerings as compared to our competitors, provide actionable competitive intelligence to key stakeholders including senior leadership, as well as influence the internal product roadmap. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Gather intelligence that will improve Workday's competitive position
• Improve sales and presales effectiveness by providing fact-based analysis on competitors' offerings including core Financials, Spend Management, and Professional Services Automation
• Support the Field Sales, Presales, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Product teams About YouBasic Qualifications
  • 5+ years' -Financials and/or Procurement -experience in a presales, product management or similar role in the enterprise software industry
  • No competitive intelligence experience required
  • Business acumen with the ability to leverage existing experience and research to be credible across a wide range of industries
  • Understanding of the enterprise software application landscape
  • Understanding of software deal dynamics and ability to think strategically about driving software opportunities forward

    • Experience in engaging with senior executives and sales teams
    • Solid executive presentation skills
    • Proven research and analytical skills
    • "Get it done" mentality - willingness to roll up the sleeves in a fast-paced environment

Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
