Codexis, a biotechnology company based in Redwood City, CA, is
looking to hire a Director/Sr. Director, Business Development &
Alliance Management. Codexis is a leading enzyme engineering
company leveraging its proprietary CodeEvolver® technology platform
to discover, develop and enhance novel, high-performance enzymes
and other classes of proteins. Codexis enzymes solve for real-world
challenges associated with small molecule pharmaceuticals
manufacturing and nucleic acid synthesis. The Company is currently
developing its proprietary ECO Synthesis™ platform to enable the
scaled manufacture of RNAi therapeutics through an enzymatic route.

health. About the Opportunity: The Director/Sr. Director, Business
Development & Alliance Management within our Pharma Biocatalysis
team is responsible for managing key strategic partnerships and
growing Codexis business with these partners. They will be focused
on calling on Pharma/Biotech clients that will drive profitable
growth of the company. This role will be a remote position if not
local to the Redwood City office . If any of the below describes

will be responsible for: Proactively engage in business
opportunities by engaging with Pharmaceutical & Biotech companies
to expand Codexis share of wallet. Identify and build relationships
with key decisions makers and influencers. Secure new business
through understanding of customer's needs and creating a value
proposition that is win-win. Achieve sales targets by winning new
business. Understanding of the pharmaceutical market space, such as
market dynamics, trends, competitors, and FDA. Perform strategic &
tactical account planning, management & execution. Ability to
travel both internationally and domestically to engage with
customers. The essential requirements of the job include:
Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech CDMO services. Minimum of 10
years business development, sales or account management experience.
BS, BA, MS, MA in business, marketing, chemistry, biology or
relevant field. Ideally, has a network of contacts, positive
relationships and contracting experience. Proficient in SFDC or
customer relationship tools. Additional experience that would be
valuable for this role includes: Market awareness in pharma/biotech
hubs - San Diego, Boston, Princeton, etc. CODEXIS PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in
Redwood City is $200,000 to $275,000. The final salary offered to a
successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may
include but are not limited to the type and length of experience
within the job, type and length of experience within the industry,
education, etc. Codexis is a multi-state employer, and this salary
range may not reflect positions that work in other states?. What
